Totem Automobili was born by the creative mind of Riccardo Quaggio, an automotive designer who had the intuition of giving a second life to the iconic silhouette of the Alfa Romeo Giulia GT. His passion for classic cars isn’t a casual affair though, it’s always been rooted solidly in his family, which has handed down to him the fine taste for classic cars since his early childhood.
Graduated from IAAD as transportation designer in Turin, Italy, he has developed professional experiences as an exterior and interior designer at Honda and at the Style department of Alfa Romeo.
Guided by the responsibility to protect the legacy of Italian car-design and inspired by a futuristic vision of the high-end automotive panorama, Riccardo funds Totem Automobili in 2018 with the aim of building the car he’s been always dreaming of as a kid.
Beyond being the CEO of the company, he supervises the entire process behind each single project with a strong attitude towards details with the goal of bringing his ideas into reality.

Sports cars are changing – synthetic fuels, hybrid or electric power-trains -but as we say at Totem: “we have to change everything, to remain the same”.
Sports cars aren’t rational, super-sports cars even less. They are emotional: starting from the design, up to the driving experience. Even with a changed concept of car ownership or mobility, we believe that this type of car will keep to evoke emotions and to donate experiences in life: the ones you will never forget.
